Retire Early - Retire Healthy - Retire Happy!

Age is a State of the Mind

I was looking at some photos from our 45th class reunion that unfortunately I could not attend. It was a great trip down memory lane. Perhaps its just me, but I truly feel younger than most of the others in my class looked in the photos. They would probably say the same about me. The point is that even if I look my age, I feel so much younger.

I thought the above ad was appropriate. Who says we have to stop enjoying the good life just because we have a few wrinkles?

Perhaps its spending so much time with our grand kids boating, fishing and keeping up with their lives that keeps me feeling young. Having our third son later in live, ten years after son number two, was a blast. He makes my wife and I laugh nearly everytime we are around him. He was a fun kid to raise and we still love his company. In fact we are so blessed with a family that is always there for one another.

My 89 year old mother-in-law is staying with us this summer. She even perks up when she is around family and friends who do not treat her like she is too old to enjoy life. She forgets things and has her moments but we all try extra hard to not make a big deal out of it.

One of my grandsons gave me some 59 and hold pills a few years ago. He calls me every birthday ot make sure I took my pill. You know what, I do and I think they are working. So there!!!

Life is tough. But with a positive outlook on life, we can laugh, smile and get through all the ups and downs.
