Think Like a CEO Wins GOLD MEDAL as 2007’s Top Sales Book at Axiom Book Awards

BOULDER, CO, March 10, 2009 - Think Like a CEO – Sell to Any Company in Any Industry…Better and Faster than a Harvard MBA will be awarded the GOLD MEDAL as the top Sales Book of 2007 at the Axiom Business Book Award celebration on March 10 in New York City. The title, published in 2007 by Flow Publishing, is unique among sales books, because it focuses on teaching a strategy for selling at the highest levels of an organization, referred to as the “C-Level.”

“I am honored to have Think Like a CEO chosen for this important award, and accept it on behalf of everyone on the team who contributed to making this book a success,” stated Mark Kuta. “When you look at the titles that entered, and in particular the outstanding books who won the Silver and Bronze prizes, well, I’m truly humbled.”

So what is it that makes this book so unique and powerful? “It helps sales people get inside the head of their senior executive prospect,” says Simon Jeacock, Executive VP Sales for software giant SAP. “In addition to generating more sales, the tools outlined in the book turn a salesperson into a trusted advisor to the company they are selling to.”

That excitement is shared by Harry Goodnight, Sr. Vice President Sales for i2 Technologies. “Think Like a CEO will turn the reader into that rare breed of salesperson who will understand enough about their prospects company to be able to run it.” The result, according to Goodnight, can be powerful. “Look, when you can do that, they will buy from you – big,” he states.

The publisher, Colorado niche publisher Flow Publishing, knew that they had something unique even prior to publishing the title. “The methodology outlined in the book actually resulted in several sales among the executive reviewers we lined up to review the advanced copy of the book,” according to Richard Rahn, President of Flow Publishing. This strong feedback gave Kuta an idea. “After receiving three or four emails outlining how the book helped drive sales,” says Kuta, “I set a goal of having Think Like a CEO drive over $100 million in new sales revenue for its readers by the year 2012.” Today, his website tracks the actual amount of these sales, based on emails that he receives from readers throughout the world. Although the book has been in circulation for less than three months, its readers have already generated close to $6 million in additional new sales with its help. www.thinklikeaceo.com
