About Ginkgo Biloba

Filed under: Anti Aging, Mental Health — February 24, 2008 @ 9:26 pm

Today, the ancient ginkgo has sparked renewed interest throughout the world because researchers have isolated chemical compounds from the ginkgo that show startling effects in humans, including increased sexual energy and longevity.

Because ginkgo is effective on both brain function and blood flow to extremities, this compound might be especially useful as a treatment for male impotence.

Sixty men with impotence who had not responded to conventional treatments received 60 mg a day for 12-18 months. Improvement in blood flow, documented by sonography, was evident within six to eight weeks.

After six months, 50% of the men had regained potency. This study was done by German researchers and was reported in the well respected “Journal of Urology.”
